TypeError: Cannot read property 'pick' of undefined

On clicking the Pick file button, getting the property 'pick' of undefined error. Followed the exact instructions given in the library documentation while integrating the library with the project. Can someone please help with this?

react-native-cli: 2.0.1
react-native: 0.61.5
minSdkVersion 21

Any updates?
The issue is still there only in android.
Also, I linked manually (as mention in https://github.com/rnmods/react-native-document-picker/blob/master/install-old )
and Gradle synced successfully in android studio but still, I get this: "Cannot read property 'pick' of undefined."
