This page explains how to get help with Hyprland Rice and what information is required when reporting issues.
Clear reports help resolve problems faster and keep support manageable.
Before opening an issue, please:
- Read the relevant Wiki pages
- Check the Installation guide for your distribution
- Review the Logs, Errors, and Bugs page
Many common questions are already answered in the documentation.
You should open an issue if:
- The installer behaves incorrectly on a supported distribution
- Configuration files are copied incorrectly despite confirmation
- A reproducible error occurs during installation
Unexpected behavior should always be accompanied by logs.
When opening an issue, include:
- Your Linux distribution and version
- The installer log file
- A clear description of the problem
- What you expected to happen
Issues without sufficient information may be closed.
Hyprland-Rice does not provide support for:
- Unsupported Linux distributions
- Running the installer on NixOS or Gentoo
- Manually modified installer scripts
- Heavily customized systems without logs
This helps keep support focused and effective.
Improvements to documentation, package lists, and configuration files are welcome.
If you plan to submit a pull request:
- Keep changes focused and minimal
- Test on a supported distribution if possible
- Explain what the change improves
