WIFI doesn't work

20260509 63-bit image, on Pi 3B.

Wireless config not working at all (neither access point nor regular WIFI). Network tab spins endlessly. Tried several re-images, trying set up with /BOOT/wifi or not, tried /BOOT/accesspoint, tried setting up wireless from a wired connection, nothing worked. Wired LAN works, and I can get WIFI up by ssh into the wired connection and enabling wlan0, manually entering a wpa_supplicant.conf, and dhcp, but it doesn't survive a reboot.
