Hello @Yaksha-Null-X, I appreciate your interest in Grove! I've actually thought about this myself a couple of times. One idea I had was adding a grace period where your streak stays alive past 24 hours until you check back in. Would love to hear your thoughts on that approach! |

Hello @Yaksha-Null-X, This feature actually turned out to be a bit more challenging to implement than I expected since there were quite a few different ways to approach it. That said, I do have to admit I enjoyed the challenge XD. In the end, I decided to add two new features, both available in the detailed habit view. You can now freeze your streak with a toggle to keep it alive, and I also added the ability to excuse days in the interactive monthly calendar. The idea is that you can freeze your streak, then excuse the missed days later to keep it going until your next check-in! I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. It's already been merged into the main repo, so if you want to try the features out early before the next release, you can just follow the build instructions in the README.md. Just make sure you download the latest version of the project from the repository rather than the source code from an older release!

Alright, both features are fully tested, working, and functional! Keep your eyes peeled for the next update since it'll also include a few other nice features. I can't wait either & Feel free to reopen this discussion anytime if you have any other ideas or if anything else comes up! |

Thanks for the tool and for keeping it functional. I completely understand that Grove is a recent project and that launching with a solid daily check-in base made sense.
However, I’d like to suggest adding an option in the future to customize this frequency. For example, allowing users to set it to weekly, or every 2-3 days, depending on their personal habits. A strict 24-hour cycle doesn’t always fit everyone’s routine, and having that flexibility would help tailor the tool to different habits without losing its simplicity. I appreciate you considering this for future iterations as the project matures.
