sessions always on "authenticating" status

I'm having a problem with my session. It stays in "Authenticating" status and doesn't change.
I tried both the QR code and the pairing code.
I'm using a local Docker project and haven't configured a database on my macbook silicon.

Has this happened to anyone and they solved it?

I am facing same problem, i have tried more than 10 times creating and starting the session post qr scan it is always showing status as authenticating.

I solved it by downgrading to version 0.1.8

How can we downgrade, is there a env variable we need to set..?

It works also with v2.0.0

With the latest version, I solved the issue by adding the following line to the .env file:

WWEBJS_WEB_VERSION=2.3000.1023204257

This is also mentioned in the .env.example file and in the docker-compose configuration.
Then, I cleared the data folder and rebuilt the image.
If you're running OpenWA in Docker:

• if the variable is defined in .env or in the Dockerfile → rebuild the image
• if it's defined in docker-compose.yml → recreate the container
