Welcome, Bhargavi! The GitBuddy-AI repository is ready for development starting May 21, 2025. Follow these steps to get started:

1. Clone the Repository:

   • Open a terminal on your Ubuntu laptop.
   • Run: git clone https://github.com/rocketlang/gitbuddy-ai.git
   • Navigate to the project: cd gitbuddy-ai

2. Install Dependencies:

   • Ensure Python 3.11 or 3.13 is installed.
   • Run: pip install -r requirements.txt

3. Run the Streamlit UI:

   • Start the UI: streamlit run src/ui/app.py
   • Open the URL shown (e.g., http://localhost:8501) in your browser.
   • Test the dashboard by entering a project description and clicking "Start".

4. Reference Materials:

   • Project Prompt: See docs/index.md for the project goals and requirements.
   • Chat Logs: Check /chat_logs for our discussions, including tech stacks, schedules, and more.

5. Next Steps:

   • Follow the project schedule in chat_logs/GitBuddy-AI Project Documentation (v1.0.2).txt.
   • Start with the UI and AI Engine modules, configuring prompts in src/ai_engine/spec_gen.py.
   • Email Anil if you encounter issues.
