3.0.0 - Cannot set "production" as environment name

We've noticed with a number of our sites, that if we do not have an WP_ENV, upon updating from 2.7.1 to 3.0.0 the Environment setting had cleared itself, and reports were being flagged in an "unknown" environment. Viewing the settings page the setting was found to be empty, and attempting to set the value as "production" (all lower case) resulted in the field being cleared again once the page refreshed. Interestingly, values with upper case letters such as "Production", "PRODUCTION", or "PrOdUcTiOn", are all able to be saved and remain. Other all lowercase words are able to be saved just fine, such as "staging".

Rolling back the update appears to have the value restore itself if we did not manually update it.
