Plinth 1.13.0 brings a slower close to a round of 108 auto-knocks, fuller knocks for lighting incense and for the knock after long typing, and a painted fish in Settings you can knock.

New

  • Closing the round. With Stop after 108 knocks on, the last three auto-knocks slow down, and the 108th rings out in full before the silence (煞板).
  • The scroll fish knocks. In Settings → Why a Fish, click the painted fish on the scroll to knock it.

Improved

  • Knock after long typing. Auto-knock now also keeps quiet before the knock and for a few breaths after it. The knock rings in full, so it stands apart. The setting is renamed from "Knock when it's time to pause".
  • Lighting incense. The first knock rings in full, even right after another knock (止静).
  • Heard, not seen. The knock now comes from straight ahead, not from where the hidden fish last sat.
  • A few words. 「云在青天水在瓶」 now appears as the dialogue between Li Ao and Yaoshan, from the Zutang ji.
  • README. Shorter, with a new Uninstall section that removes Plinth and everything it keeps.

Requirements

  • macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.

Install or Update

  • Plinth 1.4.0 or later: Plinth offers this update within a day. To update now, choose Check for Updates… from the fish's menu.
  • Earlier versions and new installs: Download Plinth-1.13.0.dmg below, open it, and drag Plinth to the Applications folder. If Plinth is already running, quit it first: right-click the fish and choose Quit Plinth.

Plinth is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

Plinth 1.13.0 让 108 下自动敲击的结尾放慢收住，点香和「打字久了，敲一下」的那一下余音放尽，设置里挂轴上的木鱼也能敲了。

新功能

  • 煞板。 开启「敲满 108 下就停」时，最后三下自动敲击逐渐放慢，第 108 下余音放尽后归于安静。
  • 画上的木鱼也能敲。 在「设置」→「为何是鱼」中，点按挂轴上的木鱼即可敲一下。

改进

  • 打字久了，敲一下。 敲之前和之后的几息里，自动敲击现在也会静下来；这一下余音放尽，更容易听出来。设置项由「打字久了，敲一下叫你停停」改名为「打字久了，敲一下」。
  • 点香。 点香时的第一下余音放尽，即使刚敲过也一样（止静）。
  • 只闻其声。 敲击声现在从正前方传来，而不是木鱼隐去前所在的位置。
  • 几句话。 「云在青天水在瓶」改为《祖堂集》中李翱问道、药山作答的原话。
  • README。 内容更精简，新增「卸载」一节，可以删除 Plinth 及其留下的全部文件。

安装与更新

  • 已安装 1.4.0 或更高版本： Plinth 会在一天内提示更新。如需立即更新，请在木鱼菜单中选择「检查更新…」。
  • 更早版本或首次安装： 下载下方的 Plinth-1.13.0.dmg，打开后将 Plinth 拖入「应用程序」文件夹。如果 Plinth 正在运行，请先退出：右键点按木鱼，选择「退出 Plinth」。

Plinth 已使用 Developer ID 签名，并经过 Apple 公证。
