"mdbook serve" command showing error

Problem

This is the first time I'm using mdBook and while following the guide here: Creating a new book, as i ran mdbook serve --open, the output is as follows:

In the above image, mdbook --help command doesn't even show serve in the list of commands as well.

I hope I'm not doing something wrong here!

Operating System: MacOS

While debugging a bit more, I found the mistake i made.
I had used the --no-default-features flag while installation, so that had disabled serve functionality.
