How to update
To update the widget you must first uninstall the current version of the widget you have installed. After that you should follow the regular installation instructions. Updating the widget preserves all your data, it's a safe operation.
The widget regularly checks if updates are available. The corresponding notifications are displayed when you access the widgetkit control panel:
The information regarding the availability of updates for the widget is also available in the About tab. If an update is available, then you will see the related message:
If no updates are available, then the widget notifies about this, too:
You can get more information about the update if you click the Update details button. The information is displayed in a dialog:
Note: the widget checks for release (stable) version of the widget only. If you are interested in prerelease versions of the widget, then you should check for it manually. Read more about prerelease versions here.
