Tic Toc Release schedule for translations? #5389

Aren't translations updated by the updater? I had assumed the live service was meant for those to be kept updated. Anyway, I think it is a good idea to have some source state, where the strings are set and ready to translate. Prior to that, strings might change. Having those strings included in pre-releases also seems to be a good idea, as that means there is more time to catch errors, before those on stable were to be impacted by them. That said, my opinion does not matter as much, since Michael handles the German translation, where he does a wonderful job. Those handling the strings need to voice their opinions. In my mind, having set strings to translate, is also better for contributors that don't send their translations in via GitHub. They used to lag behind. A week seems reasonable to get the translation updates in. |

I always see people submitting new translations once a new release is already released, that is obviously not quite ideal as then it will take however long to the next release for these to get integrated and probably other strings will need localization by then.
Since with the new own EV Cert I can sign new releases any time with little afford, I was thinking that may be we should introduce a Tic Toc release scheme.
I release a new build with real changes always to the preview channel.
And a week later the same build with a bumped version number plus new translations to the stable channel.
It effectively doubles the release count but as said now that's not a big issue anymore.
Stable releases are always localized and we have a predictable schedule + always a short testing period, even for changes I think wont break anything.
In case a release is more experimental we may have multiple pre releases before a stable one, like now just with always one extra pre release.
What do you think?
