Installation

Place the Fast Track folder wherever you want it to be, but in a permanent location. Run the Praat script called "setup.praat" found in the 'functions/tools/' folder. This will add buttons that call Fast Track functions to the bottom of your Praat buttons.

Installation makes links from buttons in Praat to the script files on your hard drive. This has one big weakness and one big strength:

• This means that if the files move the links break and the functions won't work anymore.

• On the plus side, updating the package is as simple as replacing the script files. As long as the file names don't change the updated functions will work immediately.
