Installation

Place the folder wherever you want it to be, but in a permanent location. Run the Praat script called "setup.praat". This will install Fast Track, and it will work as long as the folder containing the scripts is not moved after installation.

Installation is basically making links from buttons in Praat to the script files on your hard drive. This has one big weakness and one big strength:

• This means that if the files move the links break and the functions won't work anymore.
• On the plus side, updating the package is as simple as replacing the script files. As long as the file names don't change the functions will still work.
