Description

After setting material to Blank, cannot set the material to Default or None

Reproduction steps

Repro 1.

  1. Open Inventory, and click the + button, New Material, so there is a Default material in the Inventory.
  2. Edit a box and click the Textures tab
  3. Choose PBR Metallic Roughness from the Materials dropdown.
  4. Click the Choose from inventory button
  5. Click the "Blank" button in the Material picker. The object should turn grayish.
  6. Click the "Default" button.
    Observed: The box remains gray.
    Expected: The box should revert to plywood.

Repro 2.

  1. Open Inventory, and click the + button, New Material, so there is a Default material in the Inventory.
  2. Edit a box and click the Textures tab

  6. Click the "None" button.
    Observed: The box remains gray.

Workaround to remove the Material:

  • Apply a material (as long as it's not the default Material) from your Inventory.
  • Click the "Default" or "None" button.
  • Observed: The Material is removed, leaving the plywood texture visible.
