The default search engine in Trivalent is Google. Google is known to collect vast amounts of data. Each time the browser is opened, the new tab page loads Google's search engine by default. Changing the default search engine to something that doesn't collect data falls under Trivalent's "Changes that disable opt-in metrics and data collection, so long as they have no security implications". Alternatively, make the default page a blank tab or enable launching in incognito mode by default. Storing browser history should be opt-in anyways, so launching in incognito mode by default falls under Trivalent's "Changes that make secondary browser features opt-in instead of opt-out".
