Winlator skyNET 2.0.0 (prerelease 2)
Prerelease 2 of Winlator skyNET 2.0.0. Fixes and additions since prerelease 1. Everything else from prerelease 1 (single registry, + → For a game, global Lossless.dll, the new Components screen, skippable first-run setup) is unchanged.
What's new since prerelease 1
- Importing a container now installs the packages it downloads. Before, the importer unpacked and validated a missing package (Proton, DXVK, drivers) but never moved it into place, so container creation failed with an empty runtime path. This affected every
.wcpan import had to download. - Stable / Prerelease badges. Registry entries can carry a
channel(stableorprerelease); components, drivers and game configs show a green Stable or orange Prerelease badge. Entries without a channel show no badge. - Runtime names may carry labels. Wine/Proton packages named like
exp-cachyos-11.0-20261005-x86_64are now recognised. Before, such a name did not match the app's identifier pattern, so the app fell back to the bundled runtime and container creation failed. - Driver installer accepts bundle zips. Zips with the driver in an
android/folder (for example Droid-Deck's DD-Turnip) and zips with subfolders now install; unsafe zip paths are refused and the temp folder is cleaned properly. - Clearer failures when creating a container: the log now says whether the runtime, the prefix pack or the Wine DLL copy failed.
- Add-component skill in the repository (
.claude/skills/add-component) documenting how components are checked, found, built, released and registered.
Things to know
- Experimental Proton from the registry.
exp-cachyos-11.0-20261005-x86_64is CachyOS Wine rebuilt for Android; it is listed as a prerelease. See its release. Lossless.dllis not included. Import your own copy under Settings → Components → Frame Generation.- The APK is signed with a debug key and keeps the package name
com.winlator.cmod.dev. Updating from prerelease 1 works over the top and keeps your data; a differently signed build requires uninstalling first. - Nothing is bundled for offline use: a fresh install needs a network connection to list components.

Winlator skyNET 2.0.0 (prerelease 1)
Prerelease of Winlator skyNET 2.0.0. Expect rough edges and please report problems. The big change: components, drivers and ready-made game containers now come from one registry, winlator-skynet-components.
New in 2.0.0
- One registry for everything. The app reads only
contents.jsonfromwinlator-skynet-components: Wine/Proton, DXVK, VKD3D, Box64/WOWBox64, FEXCore and Adrenotools (Turnip) drivers. The old per-driver GitHub repository list is gone. Entries have a stableidand a free-formname. A saved URL pointing at the old registry is reset on first start. - Containers for a game (+ → For a game). Pick a game, then a game version, then a ready-made config; the app downloads it and runs the normal import (missing components are fetched automatically). Changing the game clears version and config, changing the version clears the config. Importing from a file is unchanged. Published so far: BeamNG.drive 0.20, 0.28 and 0.34.
- Frame generation reworked.
Lossless.dllis now imported once (Settings → Components → Frame Generation) instead of per container, with global defaults for flow scale, performance mode and present mode. Each container only picks a multiplier: Off (default), 2x, 3x or 4x, and can override the defaults. The enable switch is gone. Old settings and per-container DLLs are migrated automatically. - Components screen redesigned. Lists are sorted newest first. In landscape, component types are a vertical list on the left and a sticky search sits above the list on the right. Every type has an Install local button; the old "Winlator servers / Local package" tabs are removed.
- DXVK 3.x (3.0 to 3.1.1) in x86_64 and ARM64EC builds, published as releases in the components repo with their sources and checksums.
- Skip setup on a fresh install. Both the Wine/Proton install and the first container can be skipped; the app then opens with no containers. Creating one later tells you to install a Wine/Proton version first if none is present.
Things to know
Lossless.dllis not included. It is proprietary to Lossless Scaling, so you need to import your own copy (from your Steam install). Frame generation stays off without it.- ARM64EC DXVK builds are cross-compiled and untested on a device as part of the release. Report anything odd.
- Lightly tested drivers. "Mainline Turnip v32" (Whitebelyash) is listed in the registry and is described by its author as lightly tested.
- Nothing is bundled for offline use any more. On a fresh install the component list needs a network connection.
- The APK is signed with a debug key and keeps the package name
com.winlator.cmod.dev, so it installs next to the other Winlator apps. Updating over a differently signed build requires uninstalling first (this removes that app's data).

Winlator skyNET 1.1
Second release of Winlator skyNET. Adds container import/export and a new Proton build, on top of everything in 1.0 (LSFG frame generation with live in-game controls, bulk env-var editing, side-by-side install).
New in 1.1
- Container settings import/export. Export a container as a small, shareable
.wcfgprofile and import it into a new container.- Both live under the Containers + button: tap + → New container or + → Import container.
- Export: a container's ⋮ → Export settings.
- On import, missing runtime components (Proton/Wine, DXVK, VKD3D, Box64/WOWBox64, FEXCore) and the graphics (Turnip) and renderer drivers are auto-installed using the app's own sources, so the imported container is ready to launch. A summary lists anything that couldn't be fetched and what it fell back to.
- Profiles carry settings only — not the Wine prefix, games, or the proprietary
Lossless.dll(LSFG settings restore; re-import the DLL to enable it). - Robust by design: provisioning state is reset so an imported container provisions cleanly on first boot, and missing emulators/drivers fall back to a working bundled default instead of failing to launch.
- Proton 11.0-2 x86_64 added to the runtime registry — installable from Settings and auto-resolved on import.
Install
- Download
Winlator-skyNET-1.1.apkand install it (installs alongside other Winlator builds; updates an existing skyNET install in place). - Debug-signed: Play Protect will warn on install — expected for a community build.

Note
Container import/export is new; please report any issues.
Full lineage and credits are in the README.
Winlator skyNET 1.0
First release of Winlator skyNET — a personal fork of Winlator Ludashi, based on Ludashi 4.1, focused on UX, performance and features I think Winlator should just have.
Highlights
- Lossless Scaling frame generation (LSFG) via the lsfg-vk Vulkan layer — interpolated frames on the GPU for any DXVK/VKD3D/Vulkan game.
- Per-container setup under Video → Frame Generation (multiplier, flow scale, performance mode, present mode).
- Live in-game tuning from the sidebar's Rendering section — switch Off / 2x / 3x / 4x and adjust flow scale without leaving the game.
- You supply your own
Lossless.dllfrom Lossless Scaling; it is never bundled.
- Bulk environment-variable editing — edit a container's env vars as plain text and paste a whole block at once.
- Side-by-side install — ships under its own application id, so it installs alongside an existing Ludashi/Winlator build without conflicts or touching their containers.
- New Winlator skyNET name and icon.
Install
- Download
Winlator-skyNET-1.0.apkbelow and install it (installs alongside other Winlator builds). - On first launch, let the setup unpack, then install a Wine/Proton runtime and create a container in Settings → Environments.
- Debug-signed: Android Play Protect will warn on install — this is expected for a community build.
For LSFG
Cap your base frame rate to about half the display refresh (e.g. DXVK Frame Rate 30 on a 60 Hz panel), then let LSFG double it.
Credits and full lineage (brunodev85 → Pipetto-crypto → StevenMXZ, plus the lsfg-vk / GameNative work) are in the README.
Demo
I recorded couple of demos with this winlator.
Need For Speed Pro Street 1.1
In this game version, there is 30fps lock so you can get max 30 fps. With frame generation, you can get up to 120fps:

BeemNg.drive 0.34
I locked FPS to 30 on purpose so that the game doesn't consume all my phone resources and overheat. With LSFG I can increase the FPS:
