trailing : in namespace breaks gallery

with the last release the trailing :  in the namespace breaks gallery from showing the images. 

{{gallery>:albums:jim:}} doesn't work
{{gallery>:albums:jim}} does work

Can this be solved? It is a lot of work to go trough all pages to remove the :
