After upgrading dokuwiki to 2010-11-07a, the sync plugin does not work anymore (for me at least):

There was no “couldn't lock” error before upgrading.

Update: I could track down the problem to a permission problem. Before upgrading, read-access was sufficient. Now at least, write-access for the rpc-user is required. I don't want to give the rpc-user write-access. This user is just for syncing my dokuwiki-on-a-stick.

I have same problem, with that locking. Write permission helped.
