Openinary is an open-source, self-hostable alternative to Cloudinary, built for developers who want full control over their media pipeline without vendor lock-in or unpredictable pricing.

With Openinary, you get on-the-fly image and video transformations via URL, S3-compatible storage, smart optimization (WebP, AVIF, modern codecs), and a clean REST API, all running on your own infrastructure.

Where we are

The project is still in early stage (currently v0.1.7) but already has 277 stars, 29 forks, and a growing community of 8 active contributors. We're moving fast and shipping regularly.
