Spring Boot 4.0.0: failure to load H2 Console

it seems that Spring Boot version 4 fails to enable H2 console.

during my experimentation i did nearly anything i could think of, and yet failed to get a H2 console working on Spring 4.0.0.

downgraded to Spring 3.5.8 and (removed all the dependencies that were added by Spring initializer for version 4.0.0 but were lacking for version 3.5.8), and now i have a project state that loads H2 console (H2ConsoleAutoConfiguration) at 3.5.8 and not on 4.0.0.

this happens regardless whether H2/datasource related configs are set or not (platform/driverClassName/url).

This is an effect of modularization. You need to add spring-boot-h2console to your app for the auto-configuration to take effect. Searching for H2ConsoleAutoConfiguration in your IDE should show you it is not there. Or the auto-configuration report doesn't list it.
