Looking at your settings, you could usefully turn switch.predbat_iboost_solar_excess on so that iboost only comes on when there is excess solar that is otherwise going to be exported. The settings you have at present mean iboost is on as long as the battery SoC is above 50%. If you want a higher level of battery SoC before iboost then you could increase this further. https://springfall2008.github.io/batpred/customisation/#iboost-model-options Another issue could be that sometimes your solar generation doesn't reach its forecast, and as a result when iboost is running the battery doesn't get enough charge. You could tweak input_number.predbat_pv_metric10_weight to be more pessimistic about your solar forecast https://springfall2008.github.io/batpred/customisation/#solar-pv-adjustment-options |

Hi all,
I use the iBoost feature to heat my small backyard pool. It works well so far, but on days with less sun, the pool heater kicks in too often and the home battery doesn’t fully charge. I tried adjusting it by setting a low value for the iboost_value_scaling parameter, but that didn’t change the plan much.
Is it possible to configure iBoost so that the battery is nearly full by the end of the day? Assuming, of course, there’s enough solar yield to charge the battery in the first place
I could increase iboost_min_soc or use iboost_solar_excess, but that doesn’t seem like the right approach to me either
Thanks
Georg
