This Jekyll website serves as the official home for the Statistical Innovation Community Summit, bringing together statisticians from FDA, academia, and pharmaceutical companies to advance statistical innovation in medical product development.

About

The Statistical Innovation Community Summit was established to address the growing need for effective statistical innovation groups within pharmaceutical organizations. Our mission is to foster collaboration, share best practices, and provide a platform for advancing innovative statistical methods in drug development.

Development

Local Setup

  1. Install Ruby and Bundler
  2. Clone this repository
  3. Run bundle install to install dependencies
  4. Run bundle exec jekyll serve to start local development server
  5. Visit http://localhost:4000 to view the site

Deployment

This site is configured for automatic deployment to GitHub Pages using GitHub Actions. Simply push to the main branch to trigger deployment.

GitHub Pages Setup

  1. Go to repository Settings > Pages
  2. Set Source to "GitHub Actions"
  3. The site will be automatically built and deployed

Customization

Styling

Custom styles are located in _sass/custom.scss and can be modified to match organizational branding.

Content

All content pages use Markdown with YAML front matter for easy editing and maintenance.

Configuration

Site configuration is managed through _config.yml with settings for:
