Electron Capture v2.23.4
Pre-release
Superseded by Electron Capture 2.23.5, which includes the final Linux window-state and closed-window cleanup fixes. Use 2.23.5 for release-candidate testing.
Electron Capture 2.23.4 uses a normal version number in the app and packages. GitHub's pre-release checkbox remains enabled for maintainer testing and manual promotion.
Includes the named-window title and fullscreen-exit resize fixes, complete Linux packaging, and explicit Linux audio/GBM/keyring library dependencies.
Fresh 2.23.4 builds cover:
- Windows x64 and Windows 11 x64: installers, portable EXEs and ZIPs.
- Windows ARM64: installer, portable EXE and ZIPs.
- macOS: signed and notarized universal DMG and ZIP for Intel and Apple Silicon.
- Linux x64, ARM64 and ARMv7: AppImage, DEB, RPM and tar.gz.
All 26 platform packages were built and uploaded after verification passed. SHA256SUMS, validation.json and security-audit.json are attached. This earlier snapshot is superseded by 2.23.5.
Runtime pins are unchanged: custom Windows x64 39.8.10-qp20, custom Windows 11 x64 43.3.0-qp20, and official Electron 43.8.7 on the other platforms. Previous beta packages remain available separately; these are new builds with the actual 2.23.4 version embedded.
Known limits remain: four reviewed development-tool dependency advisories (with the same December 4, 2026 expiry); custom Windows runtimes retain their existing Chromium security limitations; ARMv7 is cross-built without ARMv7 hardware execution; physical devices, mixed DPI, OBS/compositor behavior and multi-hour endurance need dedicated testing. The Windows certificate is self-signed, so signature verification does not imply public CA trust or SmartScreen reputation. Production and native lockfiles are audited separately.
