What changed in 0.16.0
- Added Check new files… for downloads, copies, recordings, and encodes that are not yet in the permanent library
- Accepts individual files or recursively scans a selected folder
- Offers a quick structure/metadata check or an optional full decode of the primary video stream
- Uses distinct Quick check passed and Full check passed verdicts so the result does not claim more verification than was performed
- Detects files that still appear to be changing and asks the user to wait for the copy or download to finish
- Keeps temporary preflight results out of the library cache, history, and persistent review states
- Supports cancellation, plain-language details, and CSV report export
- Fits the preflight window above the Windows taskbar and provides a scrollable details section on shorter displays
MediaCheck remains read-only. It does not copy, rename, move, repair, or delete media files.
Requirements
- 64-bit Windows 11
- FFprobe and FFmpeg
- Read access to the folders being tested
