Imho dragging around is arguably easier now (at least on desktop) as you can drag the whole task.

That's true - it is easy enough! I did like the "task as card" feel but don't feel strongly. I am getting used to the checkboxes. On mobile, the strikethrough effect (when swiping right) is neat and intuitive.

Seriously though, both designs have their pros and cons. It took a little bit of time, but I've now gotten used to the new design with one BIG caveat: the task completion element looks like a radio button when it should look like a checkbox. I wrote a little CSS code to remedy this issue, and I use it locally:

Good point about the checkbox. Now that you mention it, that's what seemed a bit "off" to me about the circle buttons - they're radio buttons. Thanks for sharing the CSS code.
