Connection Waterrower to android phone/tablet

Coxswain can either connect

• via USB-OTG adapter (USB-A-female to USB-micro/USB-C resp.), requires On-The-Go (OTG) support on your device
• or Bluetooth, requires the Waterrower S4 Bluetooth Comm Module (Waterrower Bluetooth Comm Module)

Heart rate monitors

Coxswain offers different ways to connect to a heart rate monitor.

• Ant+ Waterrower heart monitor (Ant+ Waterrower heart monitor)
• Android sensor
• Bluetooth LE/Ant+ devices (chest heart rate sensor/ optical heart rate monitor)

Bluetooth LE/Ant+ devices

In order to get Coxswain to work with the Bluetooth device, the option "Bluetooth LE/Ant+" must be set within the settings.

1. Go to Settings
2. Scroll to the section
3. Select Bluetooth LE/Ant+
4. Ensure Bluetooth and Position is enabled (Position is needed as bluetooth won't work without it see here for more details Bluetooth spec for Android )
