Direct input does not works for alias

I configured the alias { to launch the extension. Based on the description, I expect it to work like direct, however, to search through workspaces, I need to type a space after {.

I’ve tested this behavior happens with other extensions too, so it should be reported to the PowerToys repo rather than here.
