Connect your AI client to Tapilot with a guided setup prompt, now with verified setup packages for macOS, Windows, and Linux on x64 and ARM64.

What's new

  • Windows credential protection uses native ACLs. Managed launch entries use junctions and hard links without requiring symbolic-link privileges or Developer Mode.
  • Windows path handling, network adapter detection, updates, and process cleanup are fixed.
  • Each archive includes Node.js and the audited runtime. Install only your chosen client and retain existing configuration and phone pairing.
  • The bilingual setup page and public agent instructions select the correct OS and architecture and guide a read-only first screen check.

Verification and limits

Native CI runners verify packaging, isolated first installation, updates, and restart after removing the installer source for Doubao Work, WorkBuddy, DSH Web, and Cherry Studio. Windows x64 and ARM64 each pass 194 runtime tests. macOS and Linux each pass 193 tests, with one Windows-only test skipped.

CI covers macOS 14 ARM64, macOS 15 Intel, Ubuntu 24.04 x64/ARM64, Windows Server 2025 x64, and Windows 11 ARM64. It does not establish all OS versions, fresh standard-user sessions, native client GUI rendering, or physical-phone acceptance. Host availability and manual steps still vary by client. No native Cursor testing was performed.

Codex retains its native plugin route; these archives do not replace its marketplace installation or add duplicate MCP registrations. Android remains at 0.1.9 beta. This is a client setup preview, not an npm publication or vendor-store listing.

Install or update

Open https://tapilot.lifeos.md/install or https://tapilot.lifeos.md/zh/install. Choose the archive matching the machine that runs your AI client, verify its SHA-256 against SHA256SUMS, then extract it. On macOS run Install Tapilot.command; on Windows run Install Tapilot.cmd; on Linux run sh install-tapilot.sh. Choose the same client when updating and follow the installer-returned paths. Uploaded Skill copies may need re-import.

For initial verification, read the current screen only: no taps, typing, settings changes, or device switching. Installation, protocol checks, native panels, and phone reads are reported separately.
