My HMS-800-2T-NA serial number starts with 1146a
which is not in the list of supported serial numbers.

The opentdu Web UI identifies the Type (based on serial number, there is no RF communication) as "HM-600/700/800-2T"
close to HMS-800-2T-NA but not exact.

Is there a change in newish HMS-800-2T-NA microinverters with the 1146 serial number prefix that has an update?

Hoymiles inverters with serial numbers starting with "02" are currently not supported by OpenDTU; AhoyDTU currently supports them in a non-public version, 0.9.

I assume these micro inverters still use GFSK at < 1GHZ for communication and the change is in the packet format or encoding.
This is an old story--common response-- for manufacturers that have had there secrets reverse engineered.
Once these versions of microinverters are widely deployed, the counter response from the larger number of users will produce a software fix.
Meanwhile, I monitor the AC output of the microinverter to keep up with output.

I can confirm, two HMS-2000-4T:
1164A029651A does not work with OpenDTU
1164A012D31E is working with OpenDTU.

Shoot. Ended up with an 1146a02 HMS-700-2T. Didn't realize it wouldn't work :( Wish I knew how to help. Is there any data I can extract that would help the community?

I assume one way is to sniff the data between an "official Hoymiles" dtu and a 1146a02 HMS-700-2T and analyze the data (Or ask one of the AIs to do it)
This is work. And also fun for those so inclined. But a sniffing fun inclined and equipped person will do it once they have a 1146a02 and there are enough 1146a02 units in use that they can become a hero with the PR

I have RTL-SDR, I can sniff half an hour of radio spectrum but somebody have to decode it.
