A fix release for Home Assistant 2026.11. On 2026.11, cards inside a group: came up full width, one under another, every time the dashboard loaded, and a section's decluttering_defaults and decluttering_let stopped reaching its cards. Both are fixed, and so is the card editor's Rendered view, which stacked a group's cards even before 2026.11.

• On Home Assistant 2026.11, the cards in a group sit side by side again instead of stacking at full width. 2026.11 changed how a section tells the cards inside it where they are: hui-section lost its index and viewIndex and got a path instead. The card still looked for the old properties, so it never knew it was in a section. A card only tells its section its size once its template has built if it knows it is in one, so the cards in a group kept the full width they were first given. Editing the dashboard made the section lay them out again, which is why they looked right until the next refresh. The card now reads the path too, and still reads the old properties on 2026.10 and earlier. (#393, fixes #387)

• On Home Assistant 2026.11, a section's decluttering_defaults and decluttering_let reach its cards again. Same cause: a card that could not tell which section it was in had no section values to use, so they quietly fell back to the template's defaults. In a section inside a section, which 2026.11 allows, the values come from the section in the view, as that is where they are written. (#393, found while fixing #387)

• The card editor's Rendered view lays out a group the way its section does. It drew the card on its own, so a group was never told it was on a section's grid and stacked its cards at full width, while the dashboard had them side by side. When the card being edited is in a section, the preview is now drawn on a grid too. In a masonry view or a panel nothing changes. This one was there before 2026.11 as well. (#394, reported in #387)

Upgrading

Through HACS, no action needed. Refresh the browser after updating.

If you install by hand, copy every .js file from this release into www/ again, as the Installation page describes. The core and editors pieces have new names, so the v2.7.0 ones can be deleted.

No configuration changes. Groups are on the Cards page, and section values on Variables.
