In the light of f1cb286 it might be a nice touch to have the permalink to the canonical URL shown in the footer of the page.

This pull requests puts the line

Permalink: http://texfaq.org/FAQ-<title>

in the footer directly below the FAQ ID.

Hmm ... that's rather the point of having the IDs there

I thought as much. But they don't include the "official URL" and so it is a back and forth between typing http://texfaq.org/FA and then copy and pasting the ID. At least currently the URL shown in the URL bar in my browser is https://texfaq.github.io/FAQ-... so I can't simply copy and paste from there either.

@moewew the browser location will show texfaq.org once things are set up correctly, we are still "in transit" from the old hosting arrangement.

OK, I see. If the official URL shows up as browser location this indeed adds very little value.

@moewew texfaq.org is now (since 2 minutes ago) registered as a custom domain and texfaq.github.io redirects to there rather than the other way round. So I think for now we'll close this PR (thanks for the push to get the redirects sorted:-)
