Basic Markdown Syntax Highlighting

Learning LaTeX has been a welcomed surprise, and this editor is incredibly well suited for the task. There is only one thing I could use to have it perfectly fit my use case scenario, basic markdown highlighting. It doesn't have to render the markdown, it just would be nice for the editor recognize it, and highlight it. This is because "README.md" has become the standard base document for most repos.

I try following:

in Editor

- item 1
- item 2

qnfa contains

</QNFA>

and qxf:

but I see (as long I don't add extra empty lines in between:
