Cmdex 0.2.1: backups with or without a password

You choose how a backup is kept

  • Library ▸ Export ▸ Full backup now asks whether to protect the backup:
    • With a password: typed twice on the secure keypad, at least 8 characters. The backup is encrypted (AES-256-GCM, key from your password with Argon2id) and any change to the file is detected. It opens on any computer, Windows or Linux, only with that password. A forgotten password cannot be recovered.
    • Without a password: plain JSON, as before. Anyone holding the file can read it, notes and connections included.
  • Import recognises a protected backup and asks for its password (try again if it is wrong), then shows what it holds before you merge or replace.
  • Command line: cmdex --export backup.json --password asks for the password twice in the terminal, and cmdex --import backup.json asks for it when the file is protected. Passwords are never given on the command line.

Also

  • The export dialog no longer says a .db copy opens in any SQLite tool: its private values are encrypted with this computer's key, so it imports only on this computer.
  • The import preview counts notes.

  • Thư viện ▸ Xuất ▸ Sao lưu đầy đủ giờ hỏi có bảo vệ bản sao lưu không:
    • Có mật khẩu: nhập hai lần trên bàn phím ảo, ít nhất 8 ký tự. Bản sao lưu được mã hoá (AES-256-GCM, khoá suy ra từ mật khẩu bằng Argon2id), và mọi chỉnh sửa trên file đều bị phát hiện. Mở được trên mọi máy Windows hay Linux, nhưng chỉ khi có mật khẩu. Quên mật khẩu thì không khôi phục được.
    • Không mật khẩu: file JSON thường như trước. Ai có file đều đọc được, kể cả ghi chú và kết nối.
  • Nhập tự nhận ra bản sao lưu có mật khẩu và hỏi mật khẩu (nhập sai thì cho nhập lại), rồi hiện nội dung để bạn chọn gộp hay thay thế.
  • Dòng lệnh: cmdex --export backup.json --password hỏi mật khẩu hai lần trong terminal; cmdex --import backup.json hỏi mật khẩu khi file được bảo vệ. Mật khẩu không bao giờ ghi trên dòng lệnh.

Thêm

  • Hộp thoại xuất không còn ghi rằng bản .db mở được bằng mọi công cụ SQLite: dữ liệu riêng tư bên trong đã được mã hoá bằng khoá của máy này, nên chỉ nạp được trên chính máy này.
  • Phần xem trước khi nhập có hiện số ghi chú.
