Description
The latest version of expo-linking (8.0.8) was released over 2 months ago, bringing important security fixes and vulnerability patches that are critical for maintaining app security and stability.
However, the current version of thirdweb still has peer dependencies limited to expo-linking versions ^6 || ^7, which prevents upgrading to the latest expo-linking@8.0.8 in projects that depend on thirdweb. This creates a blocker for using the latest Expo SDK features and security patches.
We request thirdweb to update its peer dependency compatibility to include expo-linking@8.x as soon as possible to allow Expo projects using thirdweb to stay current, secure, and maintain compatibility with the latest Expo updates.
Could you please clarify if there is any technical or compatibility reason why the peer dependency support remains restricted to expo-linking versions 6 and 7?
If so, please specify any valid reasons the upgrade has not been done yet.
