ok - so i have been working out some form of disclaimer that may satisfy everyone but there are some legitamaite concerns imho - i am just becoming familiar with the codebase myself so im a bit fuzzy on some points - some input from the admins would be helpful - but it is obvious that to even attempt to appease everyone some or all of the opt-out features ive posed should be implemented - and i would also propose a more detailed "about us / contact us" page

I think project maintainers have nothing to do with tip4commit. To my mind it's the business of donors and developers. Here is a current email template: https://github.com/tip4commit/tip4commit/blob/master/app/views/user_mailer/new_tip.html.haml

I think it needs just 1 line added (need to find appropriate wording). Perhaps should wait till @AlexandrZ expresses his opinion on this topic.

ok after investigating the codes more deeply i have answered most of my previous questions and made some changes to the tentative disclaimers

are these above disclaimers accurate enough be be moved to wiki perhaps for some fine tuning?

once fully acceptable id be happy to make an "About" or "How it Works" page for the site

Yes, we should add a notice stating that tip4commit has nothing to do with maintainers to email and a project page.

Although, some maintainers endorse tip4commit ( osmandapp/Osmand or OpenBazaar/OpenBazaar for example ) and we should avail them to remove the notice.

@bill-auger please, move all texts to wiki and we will edit them together.
