The problem is that we have to implement this with the Lock template of Auth0, and we don't want to do too much custom CSS that will prevent us from changing Lock.js versions in the future.

Can you use your own Auth0 account and let me know what we can / can't do please? I'll use that to go back to the designers to see if we can get something designed that we can implement fully.

@jmgasper In short, if you want to significantly change the signup/login page, need to use the Custom Login Form template.

Responsibility for updates (all templates)

Once the customization toggle is flipped on,

that page can no longer be automatically updated by Auth0, so you become responsible for updates and maintenance of the page. This includes updating the version numbers for any included Auth0 SDK or widget.

Lock template

Using Lock options only, without overriding Lock widget CSS

We can host a Lock widget in a HTML Container. There are few Lock UI Theme options, almost nothing can be customized.
I attached a lock template. Copy content of index.html.txt and replace a default lock template.

In the preview mode:

After saving changes:

We can add additional fields (text, select, checkbox, hidden) with validations. They can be required/optional.
'Select' is not a dropdown. This is displayed like this:

• No options to change styles of the fields

Overriding CSS (Not recommended)

With overriding CSS, we can change filed sizes, etc. It might cause unexpected behavior due to the changes.

Custom Login Form template.

We can modify the style and layout however you would like. Just remember that any CSS customization must be inline because there is no option to host a separate CSS file in your Auth0 tenant.
