CloudStream Pro v1.3.0 — The Addon Bridge
This release adds a whole new layer to CloudStream Pro: Stremio addons and Nuvio scraper plugins now work inside the app, next to the regular CloudStream providers. Install them yourself from Settings — the app ships with no third-party addons beyond the built-in Cinemeta metadata catalog.
Stremio Addons (Settings → Stremio Addons)
- Add any Stremio addon by manifest URL (listing-page links are resolved automatically)
- Each addon becomes a provider: catalogs on Home, search, details
- When you play a title, every enabled addon is asked for streams and subtitles — catalog addon, stream addons and OpenSubtitles-style subtitle addons all enrich the same title
- Built-in Cinemeta catalog always available (can be disabled, not removed)
Nuvio Plugins (Settings → Nuvio Plugins)
- Add Nuvio plugin repositories; their JavaScript scrapers run in a built-in engine (QuickJS) with a browser-like host environment
- New repositories start with all scrapers off — enable only the ones you want
- Per-scraper settings forms render inside the app
- A TMDB-powered "Nuvio" provider appears on Home (needs your own TMDB API key in Settings → Account): trending/popular movies & shows whose streams come from your enabled scrapers
- Nuvio scrapers also supply streams for Stremio-catalog titles
- Validity check per repository (✓ button): load-tests every scraper and shows its status — plus the last real fetch result ("23 streams", "error …") right on each row
Player
- Grouped source list: with many sources, the picker now groups them by provider — "▸ Dahmermovies · 23" — tap to expand; the group of the playing source starts open
- YouTube-style double-tap seek wedge in the main player, now also in the Feed player (accumulating 10/20/30 seconds)
- Preload buffer setting (1/3/5/10 min) for smoother playback on slow networks
- Feed playback fallback repair + TV cast button in the feed watch screen
Other
- Themes: Dark (#121212) and Material You only
- Bridge registrations are isolated at startup, so one failing addon can no longer affect the others
- Scraper requests now send a browser User-Agent by default (some source sites reject plain HTTP clients with 403)
Notes
- Torrent (infoHash) streams are not played yet — a torrent engine is planned for a later release
- Some scrapers' settings pages are empty because their manifest advertises settings the plugin does not actually implement; the app now tells you this honestly instead of failing
