This is the public roadmap. Stuff at the top is in active flight; the rest is rough order — not a commitment.

Discuss specifics in replies below or in the relevant issue. Nothing here is locked.

In flight / next up

• Real test coverage — the upload pipeline first. Tracking in #10 (good first issue).
• Email verification flow — Fortify is wired, the UI + SMTP aren't. #9
• 2FA enrollment UI — schema + Fortify ready, no UI yet. #8
• Wire Scout → Meilisearch for /search (today the post branch is ILIKE). #7

Production hardening

• Backblaze B2 + Bunny CDN swap so we're not single-VPS-bound. #11
• imgproxy URL signing so variants are on-the-fly. #13
• Mobile nav extraction + a11y pass — #12 (good first issue)

Later this year

• Comments + notifications polish (debouncing, batch digests)
• Achievements gallery improvements (filtering, sharing)
• Tag wiki — short editable descriptions per tag
• i18n scaffolding (start with the UI strings; Arabic + Japanese are first targets given the audience)
• Image OG generation per post (auto-generated social cards)
• Public moderation transparency report

Not in scope right now

These come up — they're not on the roadmap by intent.

• AI-generated image support: never. Hard policy line.
• NSFW content: out of scope. We are halal-friendly + SFW.
• Federation / ActivityPub: maybe one day, not before we have meaningful traction.
• Native mobile apps: the web is responsive and PWA-friendly. We'd rather ship 10 web features than 1 mobile app.
• Stripe-backed monetization: even SFW, Stripe has been unreliable for anime/adult-adjacent communities. If we monetize, it's CCBill / Segpay.
