• Continue biweekly meetings but expand focus beyond WebBlocks

MMWCON

• Schedule has been completely announced except for two sessions
• Presenters from over 15 different companies and institutions including UC, higher ed and industry
• Over 50 attendees have registered during the early bird period that ends today
  • Direct marketing push towards California higher eds, K-12s and governments
  • Solid acquisitions from Lanyrd, Campus Technology, Inside Higher Ed and Conference Roundup
• Oracle is sponsoring MMWCON again, and we're still looking for others interested

• Showcase: Color system (scheduled for last meeting, but ended up not being covered)
  • Semantic brands and moods

While the WebBlocks 2 repository contains working code, and while some specifics are discussed herein, the implementation may change significantly before release. As such, no guarantees are made about the consistency of the API at this time. Anything discussed herein may change in the future, up until the point of a beta release.

• From use in CASA and on other projects, a few issues have come up to resolve:
  • Watch crashes on bad build
  • Only generates one CSS and one JS build product per build invocation
  • Issues with YUI compressor in some cases (such as (Polymer Platform)[http://www.polymer-project.org])
  • No warning if a file isn't included because it doesn't exist
  • Unexpected behavior around bower components and updates
• Updates:
  • Syntactic sugar to reduce verbosity of Blockfiles
  • @datkins10 has translated the WebBlocks grid system into a WebBlocks 2 block
  • Call to action: Anyone interested in getting involved with development or using an alpha build?
