Repository navigation
This release brings git into the terminal toolbar: a status chip and menu for fetch, pull, status and switching branch, and a worktrees menu for repos with many worktrees. It also adds drag-and-drop ordering in the sidebar and sharp scaling on every monitor, and fixes a bug where a session that failed to start could be lost.
✨ New
-
Git on the terminal toolbar. Every session in a git repository shows a chip like
⎇ main ● ↑2 ↓5: the branch, a dot for uncommitted changes, and how far you are ahead of or behind the remote. Click it to:- Fetch
- Pull (fast-forward only)
- Status
- Switch branch
It is deliberately read-only apart from pull and switch. There is no commit, push or merge from here, and nothing is ever typed into your terminal, so a running Claude session is never interrupted.
-
Worktrees menu. If you keep a worktree per task, Worktrees ▸ in the same menu does the following:
- Lists every worktree of the repo, with its branch and state.
- Takes you to a worktree's session in one click, waking or opening one if needed.
- Creates a new worktree from the current branch.
- Cleans up worktrees whose folder has been deleted.
- Remove this worktree: closes the sessions in it, refuses if anything is uncommitted or another repository lives inside it, and only offers to delete the branch if it is fully merged.
Switch branch also knows when a branch is checked out in another worktree and takes you there instead.
-
Drag-and-drop ordering. Drag sessions in the sidebar to reorder them, within or between groups. A blue line shows exactly where a session will land, and the terminal grid follows the sidebar order.
-
Open in VS Code. A new
{ }button next to 📁 and>_opens the session's folder in VS Code. It is also in the sidebar's right-click menu, and appears when VS Code is installed withcodeon your PATH.
🔧 Changed
- "RC All" has moved from the main toolbar to the sidebar menu → Bulk actions → Remote control all, so it can't be clicked by accident.
- Sharp on every monitor. CodeShellManager now follows each monitor's own scaling. Moving the window between screens, docking or undocking, or changing the display scale re-scales the app cleanly instead of blurring it. Previously the terminal text could end up a different size from the rest of the window.
🐛 Fixed
- Sessions that failed to start were deleted. If a sleeping or restored session could not start, it was permanently removed. Examples: a WSL distro that no longer exists, or
claudetemporarily missing from PATH. It now stays in the sidebar, asleep, so you can fix and wake it. - "Open in Explorer" opened Documents instead of the folder for some paths, including folders opened from a git worktree and names containing a comma.
- Smoother typing under load. Three slow operations were moved off the UI thread.
⬆️ Upgrading
Close any running copy of CodeShellManager before starting 0.10.0, including a portable copy. While an older copy is still open, the new version's terminals cannot start, and it shows a message saying so. Your sessions, groups and settings carry over unchanged.
