Welcome
This project revolves around the need for the client to have a way of communicating with his friends in a peer-to-peer notion. The customer is looking to use this Messaging service both for himself and his daughter. The primary objective is to maintain 'privacy' between the users and not have a centralized server holding the data sent across the network .
This project takes a slightly different approach to what's commonly observed in the industry. A 'central' server is used for authenticating a client but all messaging (both broadcasts and private messaging) is done directly with the peer we are trying to send our message to. Broadcasts are sent to all available online users, allowing other users to extract these messages when they come back online. Private messaging follows a similar approach. If the intended recipient is offline, the encrypted message is sent to all online users. Since the private messages are encrypted and can only be read the intended recipient, this allows for a secure network.
