Gleipnir 0.2.1
Pre-releaseThe battery clamp now writes 100000 µA (100 mA) instead of 0 (Armada's constant_charge_current) or 1000 (the fork's charge_control_limit), after review feedback on armada-os/armada#677 that values that low are below the safe minimum for the Thor and can upset less intelligent chargers.
Re-run the safety test after updating. The verification marker stores the clamp value, so an existing marker (value=0) no longer arms the daemon until gleipnir --test --run passes again.
Tested on one Thor (Armada kernel 7.2.6, 2026-10-24): with the 100000 clamp the charging current fell from 4.5 A to 12-29 mA, then charging resumed after release; the test passed. Not verified: the 0.2-5 W wattage fluctuation the reviewer described (the test measures current, not wattage), the clamp holding at 80 %, and other chargers or builds.
Also in this release: opt-in debug logging (GLEIPNIR_DEBUG=1), the FEX kernel-detection fix and the sleep-clamp hold fix from the changelog. The zip has a single top-level gleipnir/ folder.
