wash app deploy does not send a flag to update the component's image reference #770
Description
sometimes when doing an wash app deploy I see this error in the wasmcloud logs:
Requested to scale existing component to a different image reference: my_component:1.124.0-2025-10-14T14-47-25-287395Z != my_component:1.124.0-2025-10-15T08-36-16-259914Z. The component will be scaled but the image reference will not be updated. If you meant to update this component to a new image ref, use the update command.
the previous image version will keep running instead of updating to the latest version.
