WSUP v0.3.0
WSUP 0.3.0 introduces the module-based workspace model: one registry for projects and tasks, selectable collections and agent/editor adapters, and managed updates that preserve owner customizations. The CLI runs locally and never calls an AI service.
Highlights
wsup.jsonversion 3 records projects, tasks and selected modules; committedwsup.lockrecords installed content and baselines.wsup initsupports presets, collections and agent/editor selections.wsup addinstalls modules later, andupdatepreviews changes and conflicts.- Claude and Gemini adapters point at shared
AGENTS.mdinstructions; the VS Code adapter generates folders and tasks from the registry. wsup run PROJECT TASKexecutes a project task;wsup check --allruns registered check tasks.- Selected opt-in collections include scoped research, reference, decisions, journal and release-preparation skills. The default development workspace retains twelve skills.
Breaking changes and migration
Back up your workspace and review the migration guide. With the new binary, preview wsup migrate, resolve conflicts, then apply with wsup migrate --apply. Replaced files are backed up; edited files are preserved, and owner content in renamed folders needs manual review.
workspace.json and .wsup/ become wsup.json and wsup.lock; checks become tasks. AI.md and guidance/rules/ move to AGENTS.md and skills. infrastructure becomes infra, artifacts becomes releases, and private is no longer a collection. Use wsup add/modules instead of collections, and wsup vscode instead of editor.
Download and verification
macOS ARM64 is the verified runtime. Download wsup_0.3.0_darwin_arm64.tar.gz and SHA256SUMS together, verify with shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS, and follow the native binary guide. Download users need no Go toolchain. Packages are unsigned and not notarized; other platforms and live AI-client discovery are not certified by this release.
Verified with Go 1.27.3 on macOS ARM64: race tests, vet, generated-output and lifecycle acceptance, both v0.2.0 fixture migrations, independent nested starters, repeatable binary builds and extracted-binary smoke checks. Full changes are in the changelog.
