Bug: Zotero crashes when I copy and paste some formulas/equations into a Better Notes note

Hello,

I would like to report a possible bug related to Better Notes for Zotero.

My environment:

• Operating system: Windows 11
• Zotero version: 9.0.5 (64-bit)
• Better Notes for Zotero version: 3.2.2
• Better Notes last updated: June 15, 2026

Problem description:

Since June 16, Zotero has started crashing unexpectedly when I use Better Notes. The issue happens when I copy and paste some formulas/equations into a Better Notes note and then try to create/export the note as a PDF. Zotero suddenly closes/crashes.

This problem did not happen during the daytime on June 15. I was able to use it normally at that time. The issue only started appearing on June 16. Since Better Notes was updated to version 3.2.2 on June 15, I wonder whether this could be related to the latest Better Notes update or a compatibility issue with the current Zotero version.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Zotero.
2. Open or create a Better Notes note.
3. Copy and paste some formulas/equations into the note.
4. Try to create/export the note as a PDF.
5. Zotero crashes or closes unexpectedly.

Expected behavior:

Zotero should keep running normally, and the note PDF should be created/exported successfully.

Actual behavior:

Zotero crashes or closes unexpectedly.

I have attached screenshots showing my Windows system information, Zotero version, Zotero update status, and the Better Notes plugin version.

Could you please help check whether this is a known issue, or whether it may be related to the latest Better Notes version?

The third example has the same issue as well. Zotero crashes immediately when I paste the content, and then Zotero exits completely.

是的。windows先前已知有平台层的editable html+输入法导致闪退问题。

是的 就是在GPT聊天界面 网页 复制一些文本，按键ctrl+v粘贴到笔记就 闪退，和复制的内容应该没什么关系 有时候闪退有时候正常。这是 Zotero软件的问题 和插件没关系吗？
