Highlights

• Supported matrix: Python 3.10-3.14 x Django 4.2, 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 6.0, 6.1. Python 3.14 and Django 6.1 are new in the test matrix and the classifiers.
• The sdist builds with any uv_build release below 1.0 (uv_build>=0.11.0,<1, was <0.12). The old upper bound only stopped other build frontends and distro packagers from building the package with the uv they ship. Prompted by @jeremycline in portalocker PR #155.

Changes

• Command.warning is a classmethod, matching the LoggerBase.warning classmethod contract that python-utils 4 introduced. Instance calls keep working, and a test covers both forms.
• Dependency floors raised to python-utils>=4.0.1 (the classmethod log methods) and django-utils2>=4.1.2 (the first release shipping py.typed). This is why the release is 3.1.0 and not a patch: an environment pinned to python-utils 3.x or django-utils2 2.x cannot upgrade without moving those pins.

Development

• The development lock moved to the patched uv 0.13.4, virtualenv 21.14.11, filelock 4.2.4 and certifi 2026.10.19, closing the open Dependabot alerts. All four are development tools, nothing shipped in the wheel was affected.
• import datetime is spelled import datetime as dt in the demo seed command and docs/conf.py, the alias ruff 0.17 asks for.
