Patchlook v0.1.4
Patchlook is a native, read-only Git viewer for browsing local repositories, reviewing file changes, and exploring commit history.
What's new
- Add a compact application menu with About and Quit on Windows and Linux.
- Fix Windows titlebar buttons and include the app icon in the Windows executable.
- Fix "overlapping or unordered hunks" errors when viewing modified files with older Git for Windows versions.
- Show newly opened diffs promptly, including go.mod files, without waiting for another mouse or window event. Rapid file selection still avoids loading intermediate selections.
- Clarify the browsing branch in the titlebar, remove repeated branch labels in History, and refine toolbar and light-theme text colors.
Downloads
- macOS (Apple Silicon, macOS 15 or later): use the DMG installer or ZIP. The app is signed with Developer ID, notarized by Apple, and includes a stapled notarization ticket.
- Windows (x64): extract the ZIP and run
patchlook.exe. - Linux (x86_64): extract the archive and run
patchlook. Built on Ubuntu 24.04; compatible system libraries are required.
