What's new

  • Bots run the team. A bot can make other bots, give them jobs, switch their model or engine,
start them on a fresh chat, stop them, read their latest messages, schedule routines and notify
you, all within the trust you give it.
  • Fresh chat. One click, or automatically when a chat gets long: the bot writes itself notes and
carries on in a new chat, so each message costs far less.
  • / commands. Bupsy's own, your Claude Code commands and skills, and your Codex prompts.
  • Carry on a Claude Code chat from VS Code or the terminal as a bot that remembers it.
  • Your other devices. Use Bupsy from your phone or another Mac over Tailscale, see your other
Macs' bots in one sidebar, and move a bot or a whole section to another Mac.
  • Voice. Talk to a bot and hear it answer, with your Mac's own free speech.
  • A nicer chat. Bubbles, real tables, a Run button on commands, Send now for queued messages,
faster switching between bots, and Settings as a page in the window.
  • Know your limits. Context window and plan limits for Claude Code and Codex, kept across
    restarts.

Install

  1. Download Bupsy.dmg below and open it.
  2. Drag Bupsy into Applications.
  3. Open Bupsy from Applications.

The first time you open it

This build is not yet notarized by Apple, so macOS will say it can't check
it for malicious software. That is a missing Apple signature, not a problem
with the app. To open it the first time:

  • Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click
Open Anyway next to Bupsy. Confirm with your password.

Or, in Terminal:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Bupsy.app

After that it opens normally. Notarized builds, which open with a
double-click, come once there is an Apple Developer account.

Requirements

macOS 14 or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel. Bupsy runs your own
Claude Code and Codex sign-ins — install and
sign in to at least one.
