Scenario: You're browsing and doing deep research in Tab A. You now need to verify a quick fact but now you want to quickly look up something else. Currently
Cmd+T, type something,enter-> will open this as a full/persistent tab. You switch back to your existing Tab A. Now, the sidebar starts to accumulate such ghost tabs.Suggestion: Use the same glance modifier. Instead of pressing enter, you press Alt-Enter. This opens it as a Glance tab. A user can press Esc or click outside. If they want to keep the tab, they have to make a conscious decision to do so.
This behaviour reuses similar Glance concept, and doesn't interfere with users who simply type and press Enter to open a new tab.
