I got this error when I tried to migrate from nginxinc/nginx-unprivileged.

nginx: [emerg] unknown directive "map" in /nginx/etc/default.conf:5

Also, I found it difficult to migrate because this repo does not follow the directory structure of the official images.

I never follow the original image folder structure. My images all have the exact same structure, that being /${APP_NAME}/{etc,var,log,…} .

As for map, this module is not present in the standard image, but would be with the full tag. Are you running the image as a web server or as a proxy? I think I could add the map module to the default image though, since it’s use makes sense for a web server (not proxy).
